CEMS is measure emission levels from stacks and ducts with stack emission monitoring. Pollutants emitted into the atmosphere from stacks and ducts may include particulate matter, gases, fumes and vapors.
Continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS) are used as a tool to monitor the effluent gas streams resulting from combustion in industrial processes. CEMS can measure flue gas for PM, HCl, HF, NH3, SO2, CO, O2, CO2, NOx, VOC, etc.. Industries such as Power, Cement, Iron & Steel, Chlor-alkali,Pharmaceuticals, Fertilizers, Refineries, Pesticides, Distilleries, Sugar, Pulp& Paper, Textile, Tanneries, and other categories of industries release large quantum of pollutants through air emissions and effluent discharge.
